We encourage junior membership at Southport, as they are the future of our Club.

As the leading member owned club on the Gold Coast, Southport is a leader in junior development. We invite beginners to Sunday morning clinics starting from 7:30 am. (Bookings essential)

The 3 level program encourages the juniors to work there way up the levels to gain course access and potentially membership.

The Junior golfers will be guided by Head PGA Professional Ben Campbell who has over 15 years’ experience and Mitch Wilson who has just completed his PGA traineeship and is now a full vocational PGA member. The Team encourages juniors to come down and have a go in our fun and relaxed environment.

The next step for junior golfers is to reach a level of proficiency where they can become a junior member. Once a member, a “GA “handicap can be obtained then club and junior competition can begin. This allows juniors to partake in club events and use the outstanding facilities the club has to offer.

The more advanced junior golfers are invited to play in our junior Inter-Club and Pennant competitions. These are for juniors with varying degrees of skill, and we introduce the juniors to Match play competition which is an exciting and challenging format.
